cannot hear the phone ringing so that I can accept a call. It only rings two times according to my callers and then it quits. I cannot hear a conversation because the volume is too low. I cannot adjust the volume any higher or I do not know how to do it. I am going to get another phone of a different manufacturer.

I love the Samsung Captivate! Everything is easy to use and crystal clear! They have thousands of free apps which is great! the only downfalls for the is the battery life and AT&T need to come out with quicker updates for the phone!

Although there are some great features with this phone, (e.g., the display, web browsing, Google maps, GPS, and lots of apps) overall I am extremely unhappy with it. I had high hopes, and was very excited to be getting an Android smart phone, but it has turned out to be a huge disappointment. I have the following problems with the phone: 1) The phone keeps turning off, causing me to miss calls. This happens several times every day. 2) Frequently it displays the message, “Unable to connect to AT&T server”, and it fails to get email, which was one of my primary purposes in getting a smart phone. This happens in areas with strong 3G networks, so I’m pretty sure it’s not due to poor signals. 3) My previous phone easily connected to and synchronized with MS Outlook. This phone does not synchronize with Oulook, which is a disaster for me. 4) When my address book was imported from my old phone, it dropped all 2nd and 3rd phone numbers (i.e., home, office, mobile), leaving me with a major loss of numbers. 5) I recommend turning off the Noise Suppression feature. When the feature is on, if the other caller starts to speak while you’re speaking (in the normal way that most people do), it cuts him off, so the conversation becomes very disjointed. Only one person at a time can speak, which is not normal. 6) I feel so lost trying to figure out how to do things. I wish there were much more complete instructions and guidance. There is probably so much more that can be done, or tips to solve some of my problems, but the documentation is so scant that it’s practically useless. If I knew before what I know now, I would never have bought this phone. This has been a major setback in productivity and convenience.

like everything about it, except the cap on the data plan. I thought that 2GB per month would easily cover all my needs, until I decided to play pandora music during a gym workout. When I was finished, I found that in that 2hours I had used up 80MB of data. Extrapolating, it shows me any web based multimedia over 3G, I would run out of my 2GB rather rapidly. Now I am kinda stuck with the contract, and I see ads for unlimited data plans from Verizon. A bittersweet satisfaction.

This phone is hard to get used to after having the iPhone, but I really like it. It is just like the iPhone only it has a better camera and better picture on the screen. It is a little bigger but much lighter than the iPhone. I love the Android market because it has apps for free that cost money on iTunes. So far its amazing!

It takes a while to get accustommed to swiping for everything you do on the phone.

Pros: One of the best smart Phones At&T has to offer. Super fast and amazing screen. Web browser is blazing with wifi B/G/N networks (especially N). Very decent photos and videos. Gaming has no issues due to the fast processor. Screen size is perfect for browsing, watching movies, etc. The video player and the add ons support a huge variety of video formats, so no need converting one format to other. Gorilla glass on the touch screen is a strong point that adds towards improved reliability. Super thin considering the features its offering. I saw people complaining about battery, but guess what, this is a smart phone and when you turn on your GPS, 3G and WiFi, you would need to recharge it frequently. Without turning on these features, I get around 2 days of battery life. With Wifi, 1.5 days. With GPS and 3G , 1 day or less. Sound quality is decent (Speaking and hearing). Google Navigation is of great use, shows alternate routes if traffic and lots of other features, and it’s free. There are some minor bugs but still the best Android Phone AT&T has to offer. Cons: Waiting for the Android OS update to be released by ATT.

Very easy to use phone with a lot of uses for apps. This phone is the best for watching videos, sending and receiving messages, going online, and a host of other uses. The only set back is the battery usage. It needs an up grade NOW!!! Besides that, I love this sleek durable phone that meets all of my needs. Thank you Samsung for creating such a wonderful phone.

This phone is awesome and very elegant and equal competitor to Iphone 4 and I got a pretty good deal from letstalk.com to own this one. Very fast and responsive, but the first phone I got had severe shut down problem and letstalk.com replaced a new one for me and the new phone did not have any problems so far. Of-course the build quality is not equivalent to Apple but definitely a contender.
